Reinvintaged:
Reinvintaged (Reinvntg) is a fashion brand that reinvents vintage and thrifted treasures. Encouraging both environmental and economic sustainability, Reinvintaged puts a modern twist on recycled clothes. This is a brand that allows you to individualize your style without promoting the harsh effects of fast fashion. Through the process of upcycling, we strive to reinvent your style.
This is a brand and business that I have created completely on my own. I came up with the concept throughout my childhood as I don't like to pay a lot for clothes, but I do like to be different and express myself through my style. I created the brand concept and visual identity for this small business and still continue Reinvintaged services out of my own home.
Target Audience: Creative women ages 15-35 who like to express their individuality in their clothing
Role in Projects: I was the creative director, graphic designer, fashion designer and sewer, and display designer. I was and still am in charge and create all aspects of this business.
Skills: Branding conception and creation, fashion design, sewing, fashion branding, identity branding, print design
Process: My process began with research. I researched everything from the history of fashion and branding design to thrifting and upcycling clothes. This research was then disseminated in a 30 page research paper. I then began collecting clothes. I bought vintage and thrift pieces that inspired me. Once I had 15 or so pieces that I wanted to change, I got to designing and sewing the clothes. After creating 15 different, Reinvintaged clothing items, I began to create a mood board and sketch logo ideas. I had the key words "organic," "creative," and "feminine" in my head when beginning this process, as these were words that reflected my clothing line. Once I solidified a logo, I began designing imagery to go with that logo, and created everything from a lookbook to shopping bags to in-store signage, etc.

Duration: The entire process including research, clothing creation and all designs took roughly 7 months. In this time I have been able to create a small working business.
Challenges & Successes: My main challenge with this project was time. Creating a project of this scale, I wanted to put all of my time into it. I was still in school, however, taking 4 other classes at the time. My success with this project was the scale of it, however. I feel as though I had one of the most involved senior projects of all our graphic design majors, and it showed in the gallery. I am already making some money on this business and I feel great about the final outcome of my designs!

When I found myself unemployed at the beginning of the pandemic, I actually brought Reinvntg to life and began selling secondhand, upcycled clothing through a page on Instagram. This little business literally supported me throughout 2020 and part of 2021 before I was able to get back to working on the cruises. Throughout the process of building the online business I did a rebrand and this logo and the below images are from that.
